I found that during my research my initial ideas connected to makeup artist such as Marla Belt using colour connected to the hair and lighting tones portrayed onto the face and Helmut Newton exploring androgyny within his work.

I want to explore placement of colour for example the inspiration Alexander McQueen took from Leigh Bowery's experimentation within his own makeup of lip colour around the real lip line it is again similar to Topolino makeup artist image and further is related to a Party Monster scene were again this exaggerated lip line is shown.
Pushing conventions of elements such as this could change the design and make it relatable to club culture but further using a classic colour from the 20's & 30's can make it relevant to Cabaret.
