Video Reference 1920's

I wanted to explore some 1920's inspired videos and magazine editorials to see how other creatives have taken the 1920's theme and made it contemporary into something thats current today while keeping in mind the club culture inspiration point also.

YouTube, (2014). A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got). [online] Available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZgjmE6xdaw [Accessed 4 Dec. 2014].

YouTube, (2014). BeyoncĂ© - Partition (Explicit Video). [online] Available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ12_E5R3qc [Accessed 4 Dec. 2014].

Both Beyonce and Fergie have used the 20's to inspired there very current music videos and even more so in Beyonce's video Partition she has taken a classic 1920's style changing it up into a very provocative yet interesting adaptation of the classic 1920's look. Fergie has kept more to the traditional 1920's styling exaggerating elements to challenge the look.

GO GO 6: Light Dance. (2014). [video] Available at: https://www.nowness.com/story/go-go-6-light-dance [Accessed 13 Nov. 2014].

I was really inspired by this video i feel the context is very suiting as the dark club like room reminds me of the Kit Kat club the girls in a sleazy club dancing for the paying men. Using the creative lighting adds interest i like how the flashing lights distort the image of the figure something relatable to modern club culture also.
